Clevedon Sunset

A shot looking out to the Pier against a setting sun, from Clevedon Seafront.
Pantheon at Stourhead

This is a view looking across the inside of the Portico at Stourhead Pantheon. One of the magnificent neoclassical buildings lining the lake at Stourhead Gardens, Wiltshire UK.
End of the Pier

Clevedon Pier, North somerset. This photograph was taken out of season, which I decided to emphasise by converting the photograph to black and white.

The beauty of decay

Here is a photograph of a wheelbarrow full of decomposing cooking apples. The photograph was heavily cropped to highlight the textures and colours that emerge throughout the process of decay from green through to brown, red and black.

Here are some of my most recent photographs. My output is most heavily influenced by Architecture, typography, and the occasional cat !

Bridge of light

My first serious attempt at night-time photography. This is Bristols Clifton Suspension Bridge on a misty November Guy Fawkes night.

Stone Archway

This fascinating grey stone and red brick archway is set in front of a local farmhouse. The dark, densely overgrown plot of land behind throws the painted wooden gateway into sharp relief. The Photoshop artistic dry brush filter has been used to provide the painting effect.
Oriental Scene

This image was constructed from an impage of a painted stone buddha head, merged with a sunrise scene. The merged image then had a reflection applied to produce a waterside effect.
Castle wall and gate

This is a study of a small entrance way into Thornbury Castle, from the adjoining Churchyard of St Marys Parish Church, Thornbury.

The Photoshop artistic dry brush filter has been used to provide the painting effect.
